Surrounding yourself with good people

Earlier this month, Daddy lost a very close friend in a plane crash. His name was Jason Jones and one of the best people we knew. We hope to continue to have his family in our lives and will be spending time with Jack, Kate and Miss Lyndsey in June. 

The other men daddy is close with, are funny, smart, caring, genuine, sincere, athletic, and love your dad like a brother. We hope you can all have your group of "fellas" who will make you a better person. Who will listen to you, are worthy of your time and energy, who push you in ways to excel, who do not take from you.  Who will accept you. 

Riding away

Jaiden has his first longer bike ride with the Flemings to their house. When he asked, I was scared and Jaiden hugged me to reassure me he'd be ok. Jaxon wanted to go too...but he is only 8. They are really moving out of our sphere of safety...all too quickly. 

However, this exchange made me laugh. Jaiden growing up and trying to negotiate.
